Collaboration of Indonesia and Turkey on N245

PT Dirgantara Indonesia (PTDI) and Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) signed a “Framework Agreement” on 06 July calling upon bilateral collaboration between the two aviation vendors.

In its official press release, TAI states that the agreement will see TAI collaborate with PTDI on the latter’s CN-235-based N245 commuter aircraft and N219 utility aircraft. Besides technical support, activities will also include joint marketing and other business initiatives. PTDI and TAI will also cooperation in unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV), aerostructures and development in other areas of aeronautics. The Framework Agreement follows a memorandum-of-understanding (MoU) signed by PTDI and TAI at the 2017 International Defence Industry Fair (IDEF), which took place in Istanbul in May.

Jakarta hopes that the N245 and N219, which it considers programs of strategic importance, will draw upon Indonesia’s domestic requirements, which are borne from both public and private sector users. In fact, both programs draw upon existing designs, helping PTDI control the development cost overhead and, in turn, acquisition costs. Traction in the Indonesian market (with its 16 commercial airlines) could provide these aircraft with scale from the onset, making them competitive in the global market

Fahrul Razi Aced Perkasa Flight School Tests

Fahrul Razi graduated from AVIASI28 on 8 December 2016. Just two months later, February was a very challenging and exciting month for Razi. In February, Fahrul successfully passed the test to enter one of best flight schools in Indonesia – Perkasa Flight School. It didn’t take too long for him to join a flying school, where he started his dream to be a pilot.

The tests consisted of ; Potential Academic Test, TOEIC, Psychological Test, Medical Examination and Interview Session. He spent around 2 weeks to complete all the tests. According to Razi, the psychology test was one of the toughest parts. “I was kinda nervous, but I’m glad I made it,” Razi shares.

“In AVIASI28, I learned so many things that I didn’t know before. I’m so thankful for what I’ve learned when I was in AVIASI28, and I really believe it will help me to be excellent when I start the ground school at the end of February. I hope that everything will go well.” Razi says.

Best of luck to you Razi, from AVIASI28. And for those of you who want to be a pilot, prepare yourself and let’s join AVIASI28!

Ando Anindya PASSES Bali International Flight Academy’s Test

Graduate of AVIASI28 Batch 1, Ando Anindya (18) just passed the entry test to Bali International Flight Academy a week ago. The test consisted of Potential Academic Test, TOEIC, Psychological Test, Medical Examination and an Interview Session.

Ando told a little bit about his experience during the BIFA test, “Yes, it’s kinda hard because the Potential Academic Test was held by Indonesia Airforce. They only accept 70 registrants out of 200, so with the psychological test, they are looking for the right candidates for BIFA. The interview session was the hardest for me because they tend to ask about my weaknesses based on the previous tests I have passed.”

“AVIASI28 helped me to know the basics of aviation, and Victor as an instructor, who is a graduate from Australia Wing Academy, also shared his experience. I’m sure that AVIASI28 will help me to learn better and faster in BIFA soon, when I start the class in April 2017.”

For those of you who want to be a pilot, prepare yourself and let’s join AVIASI28!

8 Minute International flight offered by European Airline

8 minute International Flight by Austrian Airline

An Austrian airline has just started what it claims to be the world’s shortest regular international connection — an eight-minute flight across Lake Constance!

The flight offered by People’s Viennaline takes you from St. Gallen-Altenrhein in Switzerland with Friedrichshafen in southern Germany. It’s part of a route that continues onward to the western German city of Cologne, but just the short flight is available for booking at 40 Euros a person (about $44.10).

German news agency DPA reported that environmentalists aren’t too happy with this new flight, which began service Wednesday. It quoted Swiss Green Party politician Meinrad Gschwend saying he wants the flights banned.

According to the airline, driving around the lake for an hour would produce just as much emissions as the short flight.
